The fragrance world has a counterfeit problem. Here is how to recognise the real thing, and how we make sure every bottle we ship is exactly that.

The box and the cellophane

A genuine fragrance arrives in a crisp printed box wrapped in tight, even cellophane with a clean factory seam. Loose, baggy, or hand-applied wrap is a warning sign. Printing should be sharp, colours true, and text correctly spelled. Blurry logos or off colours mean walk away.

The bottle and the cap

Real bottles feel substantial, with clean glass and a cap that fits precisely and clicks into place. Wobbly caps, rough seams, glue marks, or a label that sits crooked are classic fake tells. The engraving and lot details should be neat and consistent with the house.

The sprayer and the juice

A genuine atomiser sprays a fine, even mist, not a weak dribble. The liquid itself should look right for the fragrance: most are lightly tinted, very few are bright neon. A suspiciously cheap price for a known house is the biggest red flag of all.
