Smells good
I purchased Defender from ScentRabbit at 48 percent off the original retail price and with free shipping (I received it within seven business days, though I did have to sign a signature delivery document from UPS for this order). Considering that Defender is one of Boadicea The Victorious' newest fragrances, getting it at that steep of a discount made it impossible to pass up.
Defender has a smooth, buttery aura that reminds me of a tart dessert - a sweet concoction of cherry compote, honey, ginger, cognac, Peru balsam and licorice. The opening of the honey and cognac accord is surprisingly light, likely because of the ginger's spiciness. Meanwhile, the licorice gives it some texture, so it doesn't come off as animalic.
The cherry compote mixes well with the honey and cognac, giving Defender that aforementioned sweetness. The honey and cognac mix also reminds me a bit of Jack Daniels' Tennessee Honey, being both warm and comforting. The Tonka bean is rich, sweet, and spicy, and the orange blossom is creamy and indulgent, adding that perfect touch of sweetness. Finally, the combination of the hay, leather and musk gives Defender a grounded element that prevents it from being cloying. The fragrance is light enough that it can be worn in warm weather, and in some environments, a year-round fragrance.
The only downside so far is that Defender seems to have average projection and performance (a surprise considering Boadicea fragrances are known for their projection and performance). Hopefully, those will improve as the bottle ages.
But overall, I'm once again pleased with my purchase from ScentRabbit. It's my go-to online discounter for Boadicea The Victorious fragrances at a steep discount.
I purchased Harmonious from ScentRabbit at 45 percent off the original retail price and with free shipping (I received it within seven business days). You can't ask for better service and pricing from an online fragrance discounter.
As for the fragrance, people have compared Harmonious to the original formula for Dior Homme Parfum. But I find Harmonious to be brighter, louder, more complex, perhaps slightly softer, and EXTREMELY longer-lasting. Longevity is honestly 12-14 hours on my skin.
While there may be similarities to DHP, Harmonious is much drier. The iris flower accord is replaced with a dusty saffron note, while the ambrette seems to be amped up, giving it an increased musky edge. The dry-down brings out vanilla, sandalwood, and cashmere wood, which adds another complex layer.
Harmonious will be in my fall fragrance rotation. It's a gorgeous, naughty and playful take on DHP, but with more versatility.
Overall, excellent service and pricing from ScentRabbit. I definitely will return to make more purchases of Boadicea The Victorious fragrances, especially at those discounts.
This is a beautiful Fragrance! This is the third Boadicea that I own and im extremely happy with the addition!
I was really skeptical of this website at first ngl. This is my first order from the here. Everything was handled with care, and the shipping was quick. The fragrance smells amazing and is long lasting. The silage is also on point. I got the tester. My only complaint is that the little cap that keeps the perfume from leaking isn't secure enough. It kinda just falls off.
Recently purchased this as a gift for fellow fragrance Enthusiast that loves strawberries, and to say that it was a success is an understatement! Sweet, enticing opening that evolves throughout the next 8 hours (Without actually fading)
Also, this is the only fragrance House I have seen that implements a custom designed Atomizer System! That way you can lightly tap it if you don't want a full spray! Amazing...
After seeing how well the performance was as well, I went ahead and did some more research and purchased a more suitable variety from SHL for my taste (God of Fire). Also, the customer service from ScentRabbit is fantastic!
