Ramon Monegal

Ramon Monegal is a Barcelona house led by the perfumer whose name it carries. A fourth-generation descendant of the founders of the storied Myrurgia company, Ramon Monegal Maso, born in 1951, worked there for years before training under mentors in Geneva, Grasse, and Paris and rising to senior leadership. He composed his first fragrance, Alada, in 1979, and after Puig acquired Myrurgia he eventually stepped away in 2007 to build the project he had always imagined, a house where he could create without restriction.

That freedom shows in compositions built on precious raw materials, particularly woods, musk, and oud handled with the precision of someone who knows costly ingredients intimately. The signature is warm and resinous, agarwood and amber wrapped in musk and leather, lifted by a thread of fresh spice.
