Profumum Roma

Profumum Roma was founded in Rome in 1996 by the Durante family, whose roots trace back to the village of Sant'Elena Sannita and its knife-grinding tradition. After the Second World War, Celestino and Luisa Durante left for Rome, where their sharpening trade gave way to shaving soaps, hair lotions, and colognes, and over the years they became among the city's most important perfumers. When commerce grew standardized and the next generation felt boxed in, the Durante siblings broke away to create the house, building perfumes that hold a fragment of that family story.

The signature is warm, rich, and unmistakably Roman, leaning on woods and amber rounded out with sweetness and aromatic warmth. Sandalwood and amber sit at the core, often laced with almond and vanilla for a gourmand glow that never tips into excess.
