Parfums de Nicolai

Parfums de Nicolai is one of the few perfume houses still in private hands, founded in 1989 by Patricia de Nicolai with her husband Jean-Louis Michau. She grew up immersed in fragrance as the niece of Jean-Paul Guerlain, trained formally as a perfumer, and worked within international teams for prestigious houses before striking out on her own. That lineage and discipline run through the line, which carries the feel of classical French perfumery composed by a single, sure hand.

The house style favors clarity and character, with several of its most loved scents built around a clear central idea rather than a crowded accord. Patchouli Intense leans into earthy, polished depth, Musc Intense explores soft and skin-like warmth, Number One Intense offers a rich, rounded classic, and Rose Pivoine brings a fresh, peony-bright take on rose.
