Mancera
Mancera is a French house created in 2008 and named for its founder, the perfumer Pierre Mancera, who opened his first boutique at Place Vendome in Paris. Mancera spent many years developing fragrances in the Middle East, working with hand-picked essences to craft scents with an oriental character. His creations drew such devoted admirers, among them Pierre Montale, that he was encouraged to launch a house of his own. The line reflects his wish to merge a love of floral and oriental perfumery with his passion for Art Deco design.
The signature is rich and warm, woody with bright citrus, warm spice, and a thread of sweetness. Bergamot and mandarin orange give a luminous opening, pink pepper adds a peppery sparkle, and cinnamon lends a cozy spiced depth as the woods settle in. The effect is generous and long-wearing, true to its oriental roots. Start with Red Tobacco or Crazy for Oud, then explore Aoud Blue Notes and Roses Jasmine. These are perfumes built from refined materials with real presence.
