Frapin Parfums
Frapin Parfums grows out of one of France's oldest cognac dynasties. The Frapin estate was established in the heart of Grand Champagne, near Chateau de Fontpinot, in 1270, and has stayed in the family across twenty generations. The perfume line arrived in 2004, introduced by Beatrice Cointreau, who descends from that same lineage and trained at the Guerlain perfume school. The house debuted with 1270, a fragrance named for the founding year and built to trace the character of cognac itself through vine blossom, grape, and wood.
Frapin's perfumes carry the warmth and depth you would expect from a family steeped in distillation, working with noses including Bertrand Duchaufour, Sidonie Lancesseur, and Jeanne-Marie Faugier. Each composition reads as a chapter rather than a one-off, tied to the estate's long memory and its terroir. For collectors who appreciate the meeting point of fine spirits and fine perfumery, Frapin offers a heritage few houses can claim.
