Escentric Molecules

Escentric Molecules is a German house founded in 2008 that treats perfumery as the art of chemistry. The brand grew from perfumer Geza Schoen's fascination with a single aroma molecule, Iso E Super, created in a laboratory in 1973, which he studied exhaustively in his Berlin workshop. The house presents its work in binary pairs. The Escentric fragrance in each set surrounds a remarkable molecule with notes chosen to amplify it, while the Molecule fragrance strips everything else away and presents the molecule alone, pure and singular. It is a deliberate stand against the pretension that often clouds the fragrance world.

The signature is woody, musky, and quietly radiant, with amber and powder rounding out the effect. Iso E Super and ambroxan give the line its velvety, skin-like warmth, while lime and pepper add lift and a touch of spice in the fuller compositions.
