Daniel Josier Fragrances

Daniel Josier is a Spanish designer and perfumer whose career runs deep in the industry. He started in perfumery in 1997 creating essences at Haarmann & Reimer, now Symrise, then moved to Iberchem to lead fragrance creation for the Spanish market. From 2008 he managed the French company Expressions Parfumees across Spain and Portugal, working with clients that included Puig, Yves Rocher, and L'Occitane. In 2009 he founded his own venture, L'Atelier del Perfume, to combine his industry work with finished fragrances of his own making for smaller houses.

His own line moves between fresh spice and lush white florals, often with a creamy sweetness underneath. Nutmeg and a blend of spices give the openings a warm lift, marigold adds a soft floral facet, and grapefruit keeps things bright. Tuberose foregrounds the heady white flower the house clearly loves, while Green Leather, Interdite Absente, and Kaleidoscope show its range from supple leather to richer, more layered character. The work of a perfumer who has spent decades behind the scenes, now signing his own name.
