Bois 1920
Bois 1920 is an artisan house from Florence that carries the Galardi family's love of perfumery across generations. The story reaches back to 1920, when Guido Galardi began experimenting with his own formulas in a small Florentine workshop, gathering wild lavender, or spigo, from the Tuscan hills and opening the Bottega Italiana Spigo, the name that gives the brand its initials. The craft skipped a generation when his son stepped away, but it was eventually revived, and today the line spans more than thirty fragrances built on a blend of tradition and careful material research. A spot among the finalists at a major perfumery awards confirmed its standing.
The house signature is woody and aromatic, brightened with fresh spice and citrus. Bergamot and a lift of ginger sharpen the openings, raspberry adds a fruity touch, and fir keeps things green and resinous. Oro 1920 and Extreme show the refined side of the collection, Oltremare leans fresh and luminous, and Cannabis Fruttata offers the house's more playful, fruit-forward character. Tuscan craft, handed down and quietly kept alive.
